Major renovations were completed in the last couple of years and most of the rooms have new furniture. There is a very nice pool and patio area and the same management company has done a great job of managing the property all those years. The big plus is convenience, since you can walk to anywhere in the French Quarter from this location. You can walk to Riverwalk Mall at the foot of Canal Street, the aquarium, the French market, gambling casinos, etc. as well as numerous restaurants. You are two blocks from Canal St. (and street cars), two blocks from Bourbon St. and three blocks from Royal St. where all the antique stores and galleries are. It is a short ride to the New Orleans Museum of Art, the zoo and to the D- Day Museum. |
