Guests at Swiss Mountain Village enjoy nature at its best all year. The comfortable and rustic accommodations are in Swiss-style chalets or rough-hewn log cabins. The units are not air conditioned and have no phones, but each has a kitchen, washer/dryer, cable television, and a stone fireplace with gas logs. The resort offers a stocked trout pond for fishing. Swiss Mountain Village is located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) from Blowing Rock and 6 miles (9.6 kilometers) from Boone. In winter, a vehicle with four-wheel drive is necessary.
